Haute couture may be forever, bad weather maybe not. But this unusual combination glistened all afternoon at the Fashion High Tea 2014 held at the Zen Garden in Nairobi. Over the years, the annual Fashion High Tea has had sell-out crowds consisting of high profile guest and personalities and this year did not disappoint.

Although the weather wasn't really on its best behaviour, the guests managed to still look amazing. Ladies came out in colourful hats and dresses while the men chose unique slim suits consisting of tailored blazers and fitting pants.

A glamorous fashion show which featured a catwalk experience we won't easily forget with models slaying collections from top fashion designers. Participating designers included Njema Helena, Diva Bags, Suave, Shenu Hooda, Kooroo, and Masaba. Designers like Kooroo debuted their new collection which we will share once their Lookbook is out.

There were also various mini boutiques at the venue showcasing and selling an array of fashion garments, shoes, accessories and jewelry.

As usual, Zen Garden had an elaborate High Tea Menu. The lavish menu included Delicious Pastries, Muffins, Cupcakes, Cookies and top of the class cocktails. There was also a Sushi Bar on Ice, Burger Stations, Cheese Corners and Savory Selections being passed around while the guests mingled.
